REGISTRATION:
I have some additional questions regarding registration? If you are having trouble using our online sign up form or you have any additional questions regarding registration you can contact us via telephone or email.
YOUR ACCOUNT:
How do I change my password? Update your password directly when you are signed into your account by visiting the 'Your account profile' section and creating a new password in the appropriate input fields.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it? If you have forgotten your password visit the login page for your account and use the 'Forgotten password' link to reset the password.
INSURANCE:
Are Mountain Guides Italy insured? Mountain Guides Italy holds Public Liability Insurance. All our guides are certified internationally by the UIAGM/IFMGA and examined and certified at the international standard by the AMGA as Rock Guides, an Alpine Guides, and a Ski Mountaineering Guides.
The Public Liability Insurance is provided to Mountain Guides Italy by Integro Insurance Brokers Limited. If you require a copy of our policy please contact us and we will be happy to send you a copy.
PRIVACY:
Our use of cookies When we provide services, we want to make them easy, useful and reliable. Where services are delivered on the internet, this sometimes involves placing small amounts of information on your device (such as your computer or mobile phone). These include small files known as cookies. They cannot be used to identify you personally.
These pieces of information are used to improve services for you through, for example:
- Enabling a service to recognise your device so you don't have to give the same information several times during one task
- Recognising that you may already have given a username and password so you don't need to do it for every web page requested
- Measuring how many people are using services, so they can be made easier to use and there's enough capacity to ensure they are fast
Data protection Uptime Services is registered as a data controller under the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA). This means we are an organisation that controls how we collect, store, and use personal data. The register of data controllers is held by the Information Commissioner’s Office.
The DPA sets out eight principles which state that any organisation collecting personal data must ensure that it is:
- Processed fairly and lawfully
- Processed for specific and lawful purposes
- Used in a way that is adequate, relevant and not excessive
- Accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date
- Not kept for longer than is necessary
- Processed in accordance with data subjects’ legal rights
- Kept secure
Access to information under the Data Protection Act 1998 You can find out what information we keep about you by requesting a copy of that information. We will provide this to you within 40 days of your written request and subject to receipt of your payment of £10. To maintain security we may require proof of your identity. We allow you to challenge the data that we hold about you and, where appropriate, you may request that data we hold be corrected or deleted, as necessary. We may, however, refuse to remove information that we feel is in the public interest.
